    Role Blueprint

    The Global Project Accountant is responsible for oversight, support, and insight into the operations of the business at a grassroots level. This role requires a deep understanding of our commercial model, processes, and project demands, straddling both Finance and Client Experience functions to provide strategic commercial insight.

    Sitting at the core of project profitability, utilisation, and cash flow, this role ensures financial and operational efficiency while proactively identifying risks and opportunities. Remote working is encouraged around office time, and due to our industry, travel and varied hours may be required during peak periods.

    Key Objectives

    • Improve agency profitability at the project level

    • Enhance financial insight across Client Experience Hubs

    • Optimise cash flow and resource allocation

    Responsibilities

    • Report on project profitability, utilisation, and cash flow

    • Oversee historical reporting and financial forecasting (3-6 months rolling)

    • Identify and escalate risks to Hub Leads and the CCO

    • Provide commercial counsel on pricing, payments, and resourcing

    • Work closely with Procurement to manage workflows and pipelines

    • Identify opportunities for commercial growth and efficiency

    Key Agency Relationships

    • Hub Leaders – serving as their commercial eyes and ears

    • Procurement – ensuring cost efficiencies

    • Resource Management – monitoring gaps in resources and utilisation

    • COO Office – optimising reporting tools

    • Finance Team – coordinating month-end board reporting requirements

    Experience Wishlist

    • CIMA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience

    • Proven finance experience, preferably in global operations

    • Experience managing teams and financial oversight

    • Previous work in a project-based or creative industry (preferable)

    • Strong reporting skills, attention to detail, and process-driven mindset

    • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

    • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines under pressure

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    The Global Project Accountant is responsible for oversight, support and

    insight into the operations of the business at a grass roots level. They will

    have a firm understanding of commercial model of the business, the

    processes and demands at individual level. They will straddle both Finance

    and Client Experience functions, with a physical seat in both camps. They will

    be supporting the business Client Experience Hubs with commercial insight

    regarding Project Profitability, Client Experience hub utilisation and cash,

    while reporting back to finance overall project risks on an ongoing basis.

    Collaborate is a unique business in which remote working is encouraged

    around office time. Possible travel may be required and varied hours during

    busy periods due to our industry.
